Abstract:

We present in this paper a brief review of the history of research, as well as an attempt to structure the new historiographical perspectives in relation to ceramics produced in the Iberian Peninsula between 5th and 8th century. The research is divided into six stages with respect to the theoretical, methodological and historical criteria that apply to the study of Visigothic ceramics throughout this period.
