Abstract:

The coastal area of Baix Empordà and La Selva regions is a very interesting geographical area, since there were different concentrations of population in Roman times. In addition, it was an area of important agricultural production, as indicated by the remains of wine cellars and the production of amphorae for export during the 1st century AD. On the other hand, we study the problem of the territorial ascription of these lands in Roman times, in relation to the cities of Emporiae, Gerunda, Aquae Calidae and Blandae.
