El poblament ibèric a Flix: de la primera edat del ferro a la formació de la cultura ibèrica a l’antiga Ilercavònia
Abstract:
In this article, we collect the data on Iron Age settlement in the municipality of Flix, where three sites are known: Sebes, Els Castellons and El Barranc del Mosselló. Both the settlements and their respective necropolises are known for the first two. Sebes has two phases of occupation corresponding to the early Iron Age and the Iberian period respectively, and Els Castellons probably also lasted a long time, with various phases. Meanwhile, El Barranc del Mosselló is a small watchtower. The Sebes settlement, which has been fully excavated, is the best known of the three. The information provided overall for the three settlements allows us to analyse a little-known phase of Catalan protohistory – the time when the Iberian culture was formed – allowing us to analyse the inhabited sites and the necropolises jointly.
