El Portus Ilicitanus (Santa Pola): investigacions recents i socialització del coneixement
Abstract:
A summary of the historical-archaeological research carried out in Portus Ilicitanus (Santa Pola) is presented, with special attention to the actions carried out in recent years thanks to the collaboration between the Museu de la Mar (Sea Museum) and the University of Alacant. It is worth highlighting the work carried out at the sites of La Picola, Casa Romana and the Portus Ilicitanus site, as well as the geophysical survey campaigns carried out since 2017, which have allowed us to deepen our knowledge of the port of ancient Ilici. In addition, the commitment made to the musealisation of archaeological sites, such as the Portus Ilicitanus Open Air Museum, is shown. Similarly, linked to the socialisation of knowledge, a series of virtual heritage projects have been developed to show the archaeological sites of the Roman port nucleus, providing interactive and dynamic experiences with different levels of immersion.
