Abstract:

In this study we seek to analyze the main characteristics of the territorial occupation of the “Ausetania” Region from the Iberic culture (V-IV BP) to the end of Roman Republic. The main objective lies in trying to describe each period and to explore the similarities and differences between them, and in this way, to determinate whether there exists a pattern of change in the settlements and the occupation of the area. This work has been done starting from the analysis of the Archaeological Chart of the Osona Region, and all the extracted data has been uploaded onto a Geographic Information System (GIS) that has allowed several kinds of analysis.
