Abstract:

The recent investigation campaign in the Via degli Augustali in Pompeii have allowed information to be obtained about tavern 25, tavern 29, and the north sidewalk of the street it self, thereby completing our knowledge about the evolution of the macellum in a much more complete sequence which shows, for example, the difference of the initial levels of both sides of the street, or the manufacturing-commercial nature of the taverns of the north side of the Via degli Au gustali durring the first century AD. The works has also included the study of the limits, the recovery of the paleobiological remains visible with the excava tion and the increase of the knowledge of the mural painting of the different phases of ocupation of the House of Arianna.
