La restitution archéologique comme modèle : le cas espagnol
Abstract:
This is a reflection on archaeological restitutions and their function both in terms of research and pedagogically. We will study several methodological cases which are particular to Spain, a country in which the predominant tendency is to the simple presentation of ruins, protected or restored according to criteria of minimal intervention.Nevertheless, several experiences of reconstruction or reconstitution were realised in the nineties (XXth century ). To be more precise, these experiences can be divided into two categories : in-situ restitution or replicas. As for the transfer model, it was not adopted for the restitution of archaeological sites, but there are numerous examples of mediaeval and modern monuments which have been removed from their original emplacements.
