Abstract:

This is a global and updated reflection about the diverse aspects that integrated the thermal culture of Tarraco and its territory. Beyond the architectonic and chronological analyses, the archaeological evidence must consider the testimony of an economic and ideological evolution and the reflection on a society that it had, in the thermal activities, the principal space of citizen life. The understanding of this phenomenon is still an incomplete objective and it requires development of scientific projects to understand the data of fundamental architectonic reality in the urban scenography of the city and in rural establishments.
