Abstract:

This paper presents the devotional medals of the sanctuary of the Madonna of Bovera, in Guimerà (archdiocese of Tarragona). It includes a first attempt to classify the collection of items –a total of 15 medals–, which includes their description, some remarks and a proposed chronological sequence. Bibliographic and archival material has also been checked and provides a historical context, as well as specific data relating to the workshops where they were manufactured.
