Nuevas tecnologías y documentación gráfica profesionalizada en las Islas Baleares
Abstract:
In the last decade there has been a revolution in the graphic documentation, the appearance of the SCMD (digital photogrammetry and laser scanner). These systems overcome the limitation of the traditional representing the threedimensionality reality in two-dimensional support. But all this potential is limited by its technical complexity. The SMCDs were developed and thought by and for engineers. This has caused the documentation work with SMCD in archeology to lead them to engineers and technicians, creating various types of problems. This situation has been overcome with the professionalization of the archeologist in Graphic Documentation, which is able to combine the essential technical knowledge of the SMCD with the knowledge of the archaeological reality and its easements. In this communication we present the case of various Balearic projects (Archipelago of Cabrera, Son Peretó de Manacor and Cova del Molí d’En Gaspar de Sineu). There, it has been chosen by the participation of specialist archeologists in SCMD showing the problems and difficulties encountered, as well as the advantages achieved and the goodness of its results.
