Replication data for: Construction, use and maintenance of hearths in Iberian Cesetania (5th-3rd cent. BC): microcontextual case studies
Abstract:
Supplementary material of the study of 19 hearths located in six archaeological sites in the territory of ancient Iberian Cesetania, with chronologies between the 5th and 3rd centuries BC: La Mota de Sant Pere (Cubelles, Garraf), Alorda Park (Calafell, Baix Penedès), La Cella (Salou, el Tarragonès), Puig del Cocodril (Subirats, Alt Penedès), Masies de Sant Miquel (Banyeres del Penedès, Baix Penedès) and El Vilar (Valls, Alt Camp). All of them are analysed from a macroscopic and morphological perspective (construction techniques, shape, location) and where possible, various methods of microcontextual analysis have also been applied (anthracology, phytoliths and calcitic microremains, micromorphology, FTIR and phosphate analysis). This dataset has the table with the description and location of the samples analyzed and the main results obtained from the study of phytoliths and calcitic microfossils and the graphs of FTIR spectra.
