Abstract:

During the summer of 2010 the first campaign of excavation at the archaeological site of Puig Ciutat (Oristà, Osona) was undertaken. This excavation aimed to evaluate the extension and scientific potential of the site with any future research in mind. To achieve the objectives set a multidisciplinary methodology has been employed, combining the latest techniques in geophysical prospections and probe excavation. The works have enabled us to emphasise the importance, with the occupation of more than 5.1 ha., and a final stage datable in the 1st century BC.
