Abstract:

In this paper we analyse an architectural pattern in the ausetan Iberian territory. From the metrical analysis of three ramparts, which have been identifi ed as a casemate wall (Turó del Montgròs, Casol de Puigcastellet and l’Esquerda), we propose a restitution of their architectural design. They are all based on simple geometrical and natural shapes, as well as the addition of quadrangular modules in order to develop rectangular shapes.
