Resum:
Evidence for the circulation of sixth-century Byzantine coins in the far north-east of the Iberian Peninsula is limited to just a few finds. This article adds two previously unpublished pentanummia to the corpus, both of which were found in the modern province of Girona, the former territorium Gerundensis. These coins can be studied alongside other finds of sixth-century coins and weights from the territory and elsewhere in the Iberian peninsula, in order to gain a new perspective on Byzantine monetary circulation at this time.
