Abstract:
Catalonia is atypical concerning the conservation of protohistoric structures and spaces linked to the production of wine and oil. This area until recently had only yielded a few chance finds consisting of bases of stone presses. This differs from the situation in Valencia with its in situ spaces and structures related to each of the two artisanal activities. Recent finds in Catalonia of the structural evidence related to presses, and other displaced or abandoned features, and in the case of wine, spaces dedicated to fermentation, have allowed reviewing the state of the question leading to a new global vision of the protohistoric oil and wine production of the territory.
